I heard the word "murmuration" in a conference given by French philosopher Jean-Christophe Bailly; the enigmatic, visual character of the collective flights of starlings worked as a marker; the word and the image it conveys made a strong impact on my preexisting desire to compose music made of angular melodies and short patterns. These two pieces are performed on electric guitar, with no accompaniment.

Inspirations: Giacinto Scelsi, Coil, Morton Feldman, The Residents, Olivier Messiaen, Gorguts, Susan Alcorn, Darkthrone, Kvist, François Jacqmin, Galina Ustvolskaya.

Murmurations was recorded on 26 february 2020 by Christophe Albertijn, at Les Ateliers Claus, Brussels. It was mastered by Colin Marston at Menegroth, The Thousand Caves, NY.
